Flag of Diamonds Joins JHDT Barn Flag of Diamonds (Riley) has joined Jutta's training program for the Spring/Summer of 2008 to learn his "A, B, C's"! This young man is looking forward to moving on to his 1, 2, 3's in the near future. While owner, Gina Kirby, found it very difficult to part with her 'baby', she values the correct basics that Jutta and dressage will provide her horse for the future. Gina said, "Whether Riley is destined to jump, do dressage or event, Jutta's methods of training will provide the fundantal basis for all of his future under saddle activities. I am delighted to have chosen Jutta as Riley's trainer for this stepping off point." "It will be a fun journey working with Riley," said Jutta Heinsohn. He is a very level-headed gentleman, even with the 'girl' distractions at home and surrounding farms." |

K.E.C Double Diamond - Back in Work "K.E.C. Double Diamond (Oisin) has enjoyed a few years of being ridden casually and breeding, but it's time for him to go back into full work," said Jutta Heinsohn. "I bought Oisin as my personal riding horse originally and he's gotten a little 'soft' with being a casual riding companion and breeding stallion of late. I have been happy to give him the time away from serious work and competition in the past two years because I have been working to establish a new business and a farm in a new location (Jutta moved from California via Texas to Florida in 2004)." Jutta says, "I still think, sometimes, that I need to have my head read for that substantial move, but I have to say that Ocala is beautiful, very horse-oriented and is growing in dressage." More and more competitors (and not just dressage riders) are seeing the vital role that dressage plays in ridability, control, harmony and response to aids. The trail or endurance rider are becoming aware of how their horses stay sounder, longer, with their horses being able to work over their backs and how much more comfortable they are to ride, "through". The eventer places higher overall with a good dressage score - no longer are you likely to be placed in the top ten without a decent dressage score. The jumper rider knows his horse will use the corners better, be more easily adjusted down the line and take them to the fence with confidence. Horses shooled in dressage are more able to make sharp or fine adjustments in their stride or angle, making them faster and more agile in the jump-off." Look for Oisin at regional venues this year. Welcome back to serious work big guy! |
